The Junk Wax Era (1987–1993) was characterized by massive overproduction — card companies printed millions of copies of each card. Most cards from this era have minimal value due to oversupply. However, 1988 key rookie cards in PSA 10 condition can still command significant premiums because graded high-grade copies are rare.
